About 2017-12-24T16:40:24+00:00

I’m a Jersey girl. I’m also a wife, mother, and grandmother. After a thirty-three year career with a social service agency, I turned to freelance writing in 2008. My first work was published in 2009.

They say “write what you know.” Because I’m an expert on my own experience, much of my writing comes from my heart and is shaped by my personal journey.

Circumstances beyond my control—including a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis, the end of my first marriage, and a car crash that left me with chronic back pain—brought me to my knees. That’s when I sought God with all my heart and found him waiting with open arms. During this journey I’ve seen painful times bear fruit and discovered joys not dependent on pleasant circumstances.

It’s impossible to separate my faith from who I am and what I write. As I explore new genres, I trust the same source of creativity that inspired my faith-based writing will continue leading me.

I do freelance writing for Faith Catholic and several other publications and am a regular contributor to The New Evangelizers.

  • I love the Chicago Cubs—even though I’m not a big baseball fan.
  • Reading anything by Dave Barry makes me laugh out loud.
  • I enjoy watching Perry Mason re-runs on TV.
  • I won a CYO dance contest when I was in tenth grade.
  • My culinary specialty is peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. (The secret is putting peanut butter on both slices of bread so the jelly doesn’t make the bread soggy.)
