Your Faith Has Made You Well: Jesus Heals in the New Testament explores what happened when Jesus healed, what it might have been like for the people involved, and what it means for us today.
What do Jesus’ healing miracles have to do with us today?
Many of us are wounded in some way—or know someone who is. Although not necessarily physically blind, deaf, or crippled, we might find ourselves blinded by denial or deaf to truths we don’t want to hear. How many of us are crippled by depression, anxiety, or any number of challenges not apparent to apparent to the naked eye. Wholeness involves so much more than the absence of physical problems. Jesus invited those he encountered to become well not only in body, but also in mind and spirit. His healing power was as varied as the people seeking it. That same power speaks to all of us who are willing to trust him with our brokenness and have our eyes, ears, minds, and hearts opened by the healing love he offers.
